Low Water Advisory issued March 13 at 4:14AM EDT until March 14 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH* WHAT…For the Gale Warning, west winds 25 to 35 knots with
gusts up to 50 knots and waves 5 to 8 feet expected. For the
Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water levels expected.

* WHERE…The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to
Vermilion OH, and the open waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay
to Vermilion OH.

* WHEN…From 8 AM this morning to 4 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Strong west to southwest winds will cause
water levels across the western basin to fall 1 to 2 feet below
low water datum. The critical mark for safe navigation is
currently 6 inches below low water datum. The lowest water
