Low Water Advisory issued November 20 at 3:07PM EST until November 21 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH* WHAT…For the Gale Warning, west winds 25 to 35 knots with
gusts up to 45 knots and waves 5 to 8 feet. For the Low Water
Advisory, abnormally low water levels expected.

* WHERE…The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from The Islands to
Vermilion OH, and the open waters of Lake Erie from The
Islands to Vermilion OH.

* WHEN…For the Gale Warning, until 10 PM EST this evening. For
the Low Water Advisory, until 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…At 2:54 PM EST this afternoon, the water
level at Toledo was 16.2 inches above low water datum. The
critical mark for safe navigation is 3 inches above low water
datum. Water levels in the western basin of Lake Erie will
continue to fall sharply this afternoon and are expected to be
below the critical mark at times this evening through the wee
hours of Thursday morning. Water levels are expected to rebound
