the Gale Warning, southwest to west winds 25 to 35 knots with
gusts up to 45 knots and waves 3 to 6 feet expected. For the Low
Water Advisory, abnormally low water levels expected.
* WHERE…The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to
Vermilion OH.
* WHEN…For the Small Craft Advisory, until 8 AM EDT Monday.
For the Gale Warning, from 8 AM Monday to 8 AM EDT Tuesday.
For the Low Water Advisory, from 8 AM Monday to 8 AM EDT

* IMPACTS…Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…At 9:00 PM EDT Sunday, the water level at
Toledo was 16.9 inches above low water datum. The critical mark
for safe navigation is 6 inches below low water datum. The
upcoming gale is expected to cause water levels in the western
basin to fall below the critical mark around midday Monday. On
Tuesday, gradual easing of winds should allow water levels to
